At a time when magic was the high occupation of the people, Musa Nabi<sup>AS<\/sup> showed the miracle of his staff, which devoured their phantasmagorical snakes and made the magicians submit that what Nabi Musa\u2019s<sup>AS<\/sup>revealed was not magic but the power of Allah Ta\u00b4laa. <!--more-->In an age when medicine was highly valued, Eesa Nabi<sup>AS<\/sup> was blessed with the miracle of healing by the touch of his hands. Rasulullah<sup>SA<\/sup> is the final <em>nabi<\/em> and his <em>deen <\/em>is the culmination of all religions. Like freshwater, Islam will remain relevant for all ages and circumstances till the end of time. Therefore, Rasulullah\u2019s<sup>SA<\/sup> miracle should also be timeless and for all ages.<\/p>\n<p>At the advent of Islam, the people of Makkah Mukarramah took great pride in their literary prowess. The art of oration and power of versification were valued so highly that seven of the best poems were selected to be pasted on the walls of the Ka\u2019aba. Rasulullah\u2019s<sup>SA<\/sup> miracle was al-Quran al-Majeed, so eloquent that therewas no answer for the magnificence and grandeur of its style and the unfathomable depths of its meanings. AllahTa\u00b4ala challenged all to bring forth even one <em>aayat<\/em> similar to those found in the Quran and asserted that they would never succeed, even if all humans and jinns made\u00a0 a collective effort to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Quran\u2019s eloquence cannot be paralleled.Beneath each word lies a vast sea of wisdom and knowledge. It contains the secrets of Creation, documents the past, prophesises the future and offers solutions for the present. Maulana Ali<sup>SA <\/sup>has said, \u201cThe evils of this world are staved off from the one who listens to al-Quran.\u201d In another instance he stated, \u201cThe evils of this world and the next are repelled from the one who recites Quran.\u201d Therefore, <em>hifz al-Quran al-Kareem<\/em>, the memorisation of the entire Quran, not only bestows upon a <em>mumin<\/em> the eternal treasures of divine \u00b4<em>ilm<\/em> and <em>barakaat<\/em>, but also safeguards his body and soul, his faith and belief, his character and values. It provides his intuition with the light of <em>wahye<\/em> (divine revelation), thereby protecting him from going astray.<\/p>\n<p>The 52<sup>nd<\/sup>al-Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin<sup>RA <\/sup>endeavoured to promote the learning and memorisation of al-Quran al-Kareem. Mahad al-Zahra, the centre for Quranic studies and the proliferation of <em>huffaaz <\/em>in the past decade is a testimony to his foresight and determination. Today, following in his tradition and extending his vision, the 53<sup>rd<\/sup>al-Dai al-Mutlaq, Syedna Abu Jafar al-Sadiq Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin<sup>TUS <\/sup>has expressed his desire that there be at least one <em>haafiz<\/em> in each <em>imaani <\/em>house.<\/p>\n<p>Just as Islam encompasses all preceding religions, the Quran encompasses all the miracles brought by past prophets. In its <em>aayaats <\/em>the solutions and cures to every ailment afflicting mankind are found. Its <em>aayaats <\/em>and <em>surahs <\/em>ward off the maleficent effects of sorcery and witchcraft.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Quran is timeless and those who recite it and memorise it with their hearts filled with the <em>mohabbat<\/em> of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin<sup>RA<\/sup> and his <em>mansoos<\/em>, Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin<sup>TUS<\/sup> are the recipients of its divine miracle.
