When Maulana Imam Husain SA<\/sup> was born, Allah Ta\u00b4ala sent Jibraeel towards Rasul-ullah SAW<\/sup> offering him tahniyat<\/em> (felicitations) and also taaziyat<\/em> (condolences). When Jibraeel conveyed both together, RasulullahSAW<\/sup> was bewildered. He asked Jibraeel to explain the meaning of this strange paradox on such a glorious and happy occasion. Jibraeel asked RasulullahSAW<\/sup> to inspect the newborn\u2019s neck. When RasulullahSAW<\/sup> examined the neck of Imam HusainSA<\/sup>, he found a red line etched on the back. Jibraeel explained that this was a sign of \u2018shahadat<\/em>\u2019, the precise point where the sword of the enemy would be placed. As the riwaayat<\/em> mentions, RasulullahSAW<\/sup> cried and was later joined by Maulana AliSA<\/sup> and also Maulatona FatemaSA<\/sup>. Maulatona Fatema SA<\/sup> wept inconsolably having learnt that her beloved son Imam HusainSA<\/sup> would be slain in the scorching heat of the desert, devoid of any help and succour, alone amidst thousands of enemies and that his body would lay uninterred for days, trampled by the hoofs of the enemies\u2019 horses and poked by their spears. She anxiously asked Rasulullah SAW<\/sup> as to who would cry and grieve for her son. RasulullahSAW<\/sup> assured her that a time would come when a faction of his believers would grieve the martyred Imam and do maatam<\/em> for him every year. \u201cIndeed we are those Mumineen,\u201d Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA<\/sup> would exclaim. .<\/p>\n

The prophecy of Rasulullah SAW<\/sup> has come true due to the efforts of Doat Mutlaqeen AS<\/sup>, who year after year have renewed the grief and sorrow of Imam Husain SA<\/sup> and gathered Mumineen in their thousands to perform bukaa\u2019<\/em> and maatam<\/em>. The efforts of al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA<\/sup> in the bukaa\u2019<\/em> and maatam<\/em> of Imam Husain were as great as his grief and lament upon him. Every year, Maula RA<\/sup> would, with the ilhaam<\/em> of Imam al-Zaman SA<\/sup>, select a venue to conduct Ashara Mubarakah. Following in his tradition, and intensifying further the fervour and commitment of Mumineen towards the zikr<\/em> of Imam Husain SA<\/sup>, his mansoos<\/em>, the 53rd<\/sup> al-Dai al-Mutlaq, al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS<\/sup> has, this year, selected the city of Houston as the place where Mumineen will congregate from all parts of the world for Ashara majaalis<\/em>. The purity of Maula\u2019s heart, the power of his words, the spiritual energy and the enthusiasm, the atmosphere created by his divine presence, and the intensity of bukaa\u2019<\/em> and maatam<\/em> among Mumineen perpetuated by Maula\u2019s own bukaa;<\/em> and maatam<\/em> are such that they transpose the venue into the land of Karbala and the Mumineen privileged to sit in front of Maula feel as if the events of Karbala are unfolding in front of their eyes, for the land in which Imam Husain\u2019s AS<\/sup> Dai conducts Asharah Mubarakah transforms into the land of Kerbala.<\/p>\n

Responding to Maula\u2019s TUS<\/sup> call to attend the majaalis<\/em> of Ashara on time from day one, thousands of Mumineen, all over the world, have strengthened their commitment and adherence to deen<\/em>, and by forsaking everything else they have sent a strong message that what ultimately matters to them is Imam Husain SA<\/sup> and Imam Husain\u2019s Dai: his khushi<\/em> and his Dua Mubarak. Maula\u2019s Dua Mubarak, especially in these days of Asharah Mubarakah, carries in it the barakat<\/em> of the Dua Mubarak uttered by the parched lips of Imam HusainSA<\/sup> in his final moments before shahadat<\/em>. This Dua Mubarak is the ultimate treasure any Mumin can ever desire for, and the one which guarantees him salvation and deliverance.
