The article ended on this <em>aayat<\/em> <em>shareefah<\/em>:<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: fatemi;\">\u0648\u0646\u0632\u0639\u0646\u0627 \u0645\u0627 \u0641\u064a \u0635\u062f\u0648\u0631\u0647\u0645 \u0645\u0646 \u063a\u0644\u0651 \u0627\u062e\u0648\u0627\u0646\u0627 \u0639\u0644\u0649 \u0633\u0631\u0631 \u0645\u062a\u0642\u0627\u0628\u0644\u064a\u0646 <\/span><\/h2>\n<p>And we have removed from their hearts any feelings of bitterness (that they may have), (they are like) brothers facing each other on thrones.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The word<span style=\"font-family: fatemi;\"> \u0627\u062e\u0648\u0627\u0646 <\/span> \u00a0\u00a0(<em>ikhwaan<\/em>) means brothers. It is the plural of \u0627\u062e which mean brother. Another word that sounds like<span style=\"font-family: fatemi;\"> \u0627\u062e\u0648\u0627\u0646<\/span> \u00a0is <span style=\"font-family: fatemi;\">\u062e\u0648\u0627\u0646 <\/span> (<em>khiwaan<\/em>) which means <em>thaal<\/em>. Sitting around a <em>thaal<\/em> and partaking <em>barakat<\/em> of Allah\u2019s <em>rizq<\/em> is a cultural distinction of every <em>mumin<\/em> household. <em>Mumineen<\/em> seated around a <em>thaal<\/em> is a perfect reflection of brotherhood and close relationship. Sitting next to each other forming a circle and having food from the same plate, sharing spoons and bowls epitomize harmony and oneness.<\/p>\n<p>Imam Ahmed al-Mastoor <sup>AS<\/sup> has highlighted the qualities of a circle saying, \u201cThe best of all shapes is the sphere (sphere is a three dimensional representation of a circle). It is the safest and the most secure of all the shapes from dangers.\u201d <em>Mumineen<\/em> living within the boundaries of <em>da\u2019wat al-haqq<\/em> are safe and secure from all dangers. When they sit around a <em>thaal<\/em>, it shows their solidarity and proximity in hearts and minds. This solidarity further gets strengthened and the proximity gets enhanced when they share food from the same plates and bowls.<\/p>\n<p>Our Hudaat Kiraam <sup>AS<\/sup> have always encouraged <em>mumineen<\/em> to sit in a <em>thaal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Panjatan Paak <sup>AS<\/sup> sat around the <em>thaal<\/em> that descended from heavens upon Maulatona Fatema <sup>AS<\/sup>.<\/li>\n<li>Imam Mehdi <sup>AS<\/sup>, Imam Qa\u2019im <sup>AS<\/sup> and Imam Mansoor <sup>AS<\/sup> were seated around <em>thaal<\/em> having their meal when a maid offered water to one of the children present in the <em>thaal<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A <em>thaal<\/em> upon which dishes of food have been placed is called a <span style=\"font-family: fatemi;\">\u0645\u0627\u0626\u062f\u0629 <\/span> \u00a0(Maa\u2019idat). When the <em>thaals<\/em> of \u2018Ale Mohammed <sup>SA<\/sup> are placed (for <em>mumineen<\/em> to partake from), <em>firishtah<\/em> gather around it. They do <em>taqdees<\/em> and <em>tasbeeh<\/em> of Allah, and do <em>istighfaar<\/em> for those <em>mumineen<\/em> who partake from it.<\/p>\n<p>We <em>mumineen<\/em> are doubly blessed to partake <em>barakat<\/em> from Faiz al-Mawa\u2019id al-Burhaniyah.<\/p>\n<p>Rasulullah<sup>SAW<\/sup> has stated that more the number of persons sharing food from a same <em>thaal<\/em>, the greater the <em>barakat<\/em>. Al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Abdulqadir Najmudin <sup>RA<\/sup> issued a <em>mithaal<\/em> <em>sharif<\/em> declaring that to avoid wastage, each <em>thaal<\/em> of <em>mumineen<\/em> should compulsorily have at least five adults and each <em>thaal<\/em> of <em>muminaat<\/em> should compulsorily have at least four adults.<\/p>\n<p>Out of respect for the <em>rizq <\/em>(sustenance) Allah has provided us with, <em>thaal<\/em>s should be kept atop a <em>tarakhti<\/em>. A <em>sufrah<\/em> is to be spread below the <em>tarakhti<\/em> and <em>thaal<\/em>. Food particles falling off from the <em>thaal<\/em> should be picked and consumed. Once, a man sought Imam Ja\u2019farus Sadiq<sup>AS<\/sup>\u2019s counsel for pain in his lower back. Imam <sup>AS<\/sup> advised him to pick up and consume food grains that have fallen from <em>thaal<\/em>. He did as directed and was relieved of his ailment.<\/p>\n<p>The reverence of sitting at a <em>thaal<\/em> and partaking from a meal is such that mumineen directed to refrain from correcting the manners and etiquettes of their children while at the <em>thaal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin<sup>TUS<\/sup> stresses the importance of adhering to our Awliyaa\u2019 Kiraam\u2019s tradition of eating seated at a <em>thaal<\/em>. Indeed, <em>mumineen<\/em> uphold this <em>thaqaafat<\/em> of <em>thaal<\/em> across geographical boundaries. This custom endorses our allegiance to the fraternity of <em>mumineen<\/em>. Sitting around a <em>thaal<\/em> we proudly announce our unity and oneness.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin<sup>RA<\/sup> had once said that one should consider it an honour to be granted permission to sit in the <em>thaal<\/em> of the <em>aamil<\/em> <em>saheb<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, blessed is one whom <em>waliyullah<\/em> grants <em>raza<\/em> <em>Mubarak<\/em> to sit in his <em>thaal<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>May Allah protect <em>Fatemi<\/em> <em>Thaqaafat<\/em> in our generations.
