Whoever meets him after me should convey my salaam to him for he will intercede on behalf of many on the day of Qayamat.<\/p>\n<p>Oais was present with Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup> in the battle of Siffeen. One day a man from the people of Shaam approached the army of Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup> and shouted, \u201cIs Oais al Qarni with you?\u201d The people in Maulana Ali\u2019s army replied, \u201cYes.\u201d The Shaami replied, \u201cI have heard Rasulullah<sup>SAW<\/sup> say that Oais al Qarni is among the noble followers.\u201d Thereafter he left the army of Mauwyah and joined Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>It is said that on the day of Siffeen, Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup> called out, \u201cWhere is the constabulary of death?\u201d (those who have pledged themselves to fight till death). Ninety-nine people stood up. Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup> said, \u201cThis is not the total I have been promised.\u201d Thereafter, stood up a man in a woollen robe. Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup> enquired, \u201cWho are you?\u201d The man replied, \u201cI am Oais al Qarni.\u201d Upon hearing this, Maulana Ali<sup>SA<\/sup> said, \u201cAllah O Akbar,\u201d and all of them proceeded towards the battle.
