{"id":469,"date":"2013-01-26T05:51:07","date_gmt":"2013-01-26T05:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/empireuae.com\/demo\/v2\/?p=469"},"modified":"2014-10-10T05:35:47","modified_gmt":"2014-10-10T05:35:47","slug":"adamas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/empireuae.com\/demo\/pearls-of-wisdom\/adamas\/","title":{"rendered":"Adam<sup>AS<\/sup>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The stories of Anbiyah are not mere fables but are full of morals for those who may ponder. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is said of Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> that he was born in his enemy&#8217;s house at <em>Sholabat<\/em> on the Island of Boran (Sri Lanka). Adam&#8217;s name was <em>Taikhoom<\/em>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Allah tested the obedience and forbearance of the angels by creating Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> and commanding them to prostrate for him as He had taught Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> the &#8220;<em>asmaa<\/em>&#8221; (names) that the angles were unaware of.<\/p>\n<p>All the angels obeyed Allah&#8217;s command and prostrated for Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> except <em>Iblees<\/em> (Satan), who did not obey because of his arrogance. Instead he confronted Allah and said: &#8220;I am superior to Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> as you have created him from the earth whereas you created me from fire.&#8221; This angered Allah and He banished Iblees from heaven. Allah permitted Adam<sup>As<\/sup> and Hawwa to dwell in heaven and eat from its bountiful gardens, but warned them not to approach a particular tree lest they may be counted amongst transgressors.<\/p>\n<p>But alas! Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> was lured by Iblees into tasting the forbidden fruit and thus he and Hawwa were banished from <em>jannat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Adam at once realized his mistake and repented. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin<sup>RA<\/sup>\u00a0often mentioned in his bayans that Adam&#8217;s repentance was accepted because he sought the intervention of <em>Khamsat Athaar<sup>SA<\/sup><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Syedna Qazi- n-N&#8217;oman<sup>RA<\/sup> mentions in Daaim-ul-Islam that when Allah commanded the angels to prostrate for Adam<sup>AS<\/sup>, they obeyed but with some reluctance in their hearts. However they immediately realized their sin and sought forgiveness by performing <em>tawaaf<\/em> around the <em>arsh<\/em> (throne) reciting <em>tehleel <\/em>and <em>takbeer<\/em>. Allah pardoned the angels and ordered them to build a similar place of worship on earth where the progeny of Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> could go to have their sins forgiven. The angels placed <em>K&#8217;aaba<\/em> on earth, corresponding to the <em>arsh<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>When Adam<sup>AS<\/sup> was banished from heaven he recalled the penance of the angels and he went to Mecca with Hawwa to perform <em>tawaaf<\/em> around the Holy <em>Kaaba<\/em>.
