Maulatana Maryam al Azraa AS<\/sup> and Maulatana Hurratul Maleka RA<\/sup> are two venerated and noble women in our history \u2013 separated in history by nearly one thousand years, both Maulaat <\/em>were steadfast in their service of Imam al Zaman AS<\/sup> and devout servants of Maulatana Fatema AS<\/sup> and Ahl Bayt AS<\/sup>. And, they were both mothers \u2013 the mother of Eesaa Nabi SA<\/sup> and the mother of Duat Mutlaqeen RA<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Maulatana Maryam al-Azra AS<\/sup>, the mother of Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup>, was given good tidings by Allah Ta\u2019ala as the birth of Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup> drew closer – who conveyed to her that her son will become a maseeh, <\/em>one who will be a sign to mankind and mercy from Allah Ta\u2019ala. She was directly responsible for the tarbiyat<\/em> and upbringing of Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup>, who was then appointed by the Imam to lead. During his lifetime, Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup> and his Apostles (Hawaariyeen) established a new faith and called the Children of Israel (Bani Israel), toward sirat-al-mustaqeem<\/em>. Maulatana Maryam\u2019s AS<\/sup> piety was instilled in her son Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Similarly, in the history of our dawat<\/em>, Maulatana Hurratul Maleka RA<\/sup> stands out prominently in her role as the mother of Duat Mutlaqeen AS<\/sup>, a hujjat<\/em> of Imam Amir AS<\/sup>, the Queen of Yemen, and a learned scholar and writer. She too was a servant of the mother of Aimmat Tahereen AS<\/sup>, Maulatana Fatema AS<\/sup>, who swept the floors of Maulatana Fatema\u2019s AS<\/sup> home. Most notable was her leadership in the establishment of the seat of Dai al-Mutlaq to ensure that each Dai and his appointed successor was equipped and ready to lead and protect the dawat <\/em>of Ahl Bayt AS<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Maseeh ibne Maryam AS<\/sup><\/em> was one of the names given to Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup>; he had the divine ability to prepare his successor to take the helm of dawat <\/em>and continue to call people toward Allah. The Quran states:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA<\/sup> explained the essence of this aayat: <\/em>with the raza of Allah Ta\u2019ala, I [Eesaa Nabi AS<\/sup>] will prepare one of my followers, breathe into him the ruh<\/em> of succession and ready him to lead the people. This is the shaan<\/em> of Maseeh<\/em>, son of Maulatana Maryam AS<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Duat Mutlaqeen RA<\/sup> epitomize the brilliance of maseeh<\/em>;\u00a0Maulatana Hurratul Maleka RA<\/sup> – the mother of Duat Mutlaqeen RA<\/sup> – embodies the luminosity of Maulatana Maryam AS<\/sup> – Maseeh<\/em>\u2019s mother. Maultana Hurratul Maleka RA<\/sup> groomed her children and prepared them to run the dawat <\/em>of Ahl Bayt in the Imam\u2019s AS<\/sup> stead, and to continue to lead mumineen until such time that the Imam AS<\/sup> performs zuhoor<\/em>. The first of the Dai-al-satr<\/em> Syedna Zoeb RA<\/sup>– in the same light as Maseeh ibne Maryam AS<\/sup><\/em>, identified one amongst his followers that he prepared and appointed as his successor \u2013 Syedna Ibrahim RA<\/sup>. Each Dai<\/em>, one after another, embodies the shaan <\/em>of maseeh<\/em>; by the ilhaam – <\/em>divine direction – of Imam al Zaman AS<\/sup>, he prepares his successor, breathing into him the ruh <\/em>of succession (nass)<\/em>, to ensure that the chain of continuity, the passage, and the protection of Ahl Bayt\u2019s AS<\/sup> knowledge and dawat<\/em>, remains unbroken. Today, we see the shaan <\/em>of maseeh<\/em> brought to life by Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA<\/sup> in his mansoos<\/em>, Syedna Aali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS<\/sup>. Through our Maula TUS<\/sup>, we receive the invaluable bounties of Ahl Bayt\u2019s AS<\/sup> knowledge; and, especially during Ashara Mubaraka, the divine calling toward Imam Husain\u2019s AS<\/sup> lamentation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
