{"id":6884,"date":"2023-07-20T04:40:19","date_gmt":"2023-07-20T04:40:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/empireuae.com\/demo\/?p=6884"},"modified":"2023-07-20T04:41:50","modified_gmt":"2023-07-20T04:41:50","slug":"01-pow-1445","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/empireuae.com\/demo\/ashara-1445\/01-pow-1445\/","title":{"rendered":"Pearls of Wisdom"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marking twenty years since Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA presided over Ashara Mubaraka in Dubai and nearly ten years since Maula\u2019s RA <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wafaat<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, his beloved successor, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS declared \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hub\u2019<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (love) \u2013 which has an <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">adad<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of 10 \u2013 as the central theme of Ashara Mubaraka 1445H\u2019s <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">waaz.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rasulallah SAW stated, \u201cThe most beloved to Allah are those who are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">atqiya <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(pious) and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">akhfiya<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (keep [their actions] hidden). <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Atqiya<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> refers to those who protect their souls, refrain from sin, and act upon the knowledge they have acquired. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Akhfiya<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has two opposing meanings in the Arabic language: to reveal and to conceal. The actions that our faith deems compulsory, such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">namaz<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hajj<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, are those we should do openly, and should not shy away from doing so even in front of others. On the other hand, there are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nawafil<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (virtuous deeds), such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sadaqah<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that are required, but not obligatory, which we should perform in secrecy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For years, Imam Ali Zain al Abedeen AS, ventured out in the darkness of the night to deliver food to those living in hunger in the streets of Medina. In spite of the anger someone may feel by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">being called \u2018<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mashkiwala\u2019 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0which is today&#8217;s equivalent of the derogatory name &#8216;<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dabbawala,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">compounded by the pain of carrying a heavy tiffin full of food, he gave <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sadaqah<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> generously and happily. This was a pious act and one he told no one about, until the scar left by the rope of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mashki<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on his shoulder was revealed upon his <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">wafaat. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because of the Imam\u2019s magnanimity, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2018mashkiwala\u2019 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has now become an endearing term: one by which we fondly remember Maulana Ali Zain al Abedeen AS.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ziyaad Al Aswad travelled long and far to the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hazrat<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Imam Mohammed al Baqir AS. When he arrived, the Imam AS asked him about his condition, why his feet were blistered and battered. Ziyaad explained that too much time had elapsed since he last had the privilege of the Imam\u2019s AS <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">deedar<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He expressed that when he feels overcome by the weight of his sins, he remembers Maula and his <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mohabbat <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as the source of salvation! So, he gathered the little money he had and bought a young camel; it was weak and unable to carry him for the entire journey, so he often travelled on foot. Ziyaad did not openly share the hardship he faced; he kept it hidden, only explaining when the Imam AS asked him. Moved by Ziyaad\u2019s quiet perseverance in fulfilling his <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">haqiqi hajj<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the adversity he overcame in the name of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mohabbat<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Imam Mohammed al Baqir AS exclaimed three times, \u201cFaith is nothing but <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mohabbat <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(love)!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this vein, mumineen have travelled far and wide to attend the majalis of Imam Husain AS with our Maula TUS. We do not make the troubles we faced to be with Maula TUS apparent, for we are all one in this act, and have one intent and one alone &#8211; to remember Imam Husain\u2019s sacrifice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin RA and Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aale Mohammed\u2019s<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> AS beloved <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">do\u2019at<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, so selfless in the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">khidmat <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Rasulallah\u2019s SAW progeny that they radiate the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">noor<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Imam al Zaman AS. They call upon their precious mumineen to grieve and lament Imam Husain\u2019s AS ultimate sacrifice in Karbala, to wail and mourn him openly and expressively without reservation. And it is our love for Maula TUS that inspires us to respond a thousand fold.
